Teams built to stay.

I am Kate Suvorova, and Daylabs is my practice. For more than fifteen years I have hired engineers, researchers and leaders for tech companies — most recently for AI teams — and built the HR processes that keep them there after the offer is signed.

What I do

Three ways we can work together

Whether you need one hard-to-fill role, a whole team by next quarter, or an HR function that finally runs without you — we start with a conversation, not a contract.

Full-cycle tech recruiting

Engineering, hardware, research and business-critical roles — from a sharp role profile through active sourcing, assessment and offer negotiation. Niche and executive searches included, closed in weeks rather than quarters.

Building teams from scratch

When a team has to exist by a date. Workforce planning, role scoping, a hiring pipeline designed for your volume, and first-time managers coached through interviewing so the quality bar does not drop as the pace rises.

People operations & HR consulting

The infrastructure a growing company needs: onboarding and probation that work, performance reviews and 1:1s people take seriously, HR policies and documentation, contracts and payroll coordination, and a calm offboarding.

AI teams are where I am strongest

My two most recent team builds were for AI companies — research-led products where the hard part is finding people who can move between science, software and hardware. I hired the researchers behind the models, the engineers who ship them, and the specialists who install and integrate the systems where they actually run.

Which means these searches do not start from a blank sheet. I know these people personally — I can call them directly, and they pick up.

What that meant in practice

Teams built from zero

  • Two full development teams stood up in three months, enabling accelerated product delivery.
  • One product team scaled from 15 to 60 people in four months — development, Unity, producers, game designers, 2D/3D and motion artists, Head of Art.
  • An internal research and analytics team formed in two and a half months, with an external group of freelance analysts on hourly contracts for peak demand.
  • A complete embedded engineering team for an AI hardware product, across mixed seniority and covering both the hardware and the software side.

Speed under pressure

  • 5–11 vacancies closed per month for multiple Scrum teams, consistently 30–50% above target.
  • Business-critical roles closed in one to one and a half months, protecting delivery dates.
  • A new office opened from scratch, starting with hiring its director and scaling headcount from there.

Hires who stayed

  • An onboarding and probation framework that produced a 100% pass rate and faster ramp-up.
  • 95% of game-development hires passed probation and stayed two years or more, despite an intense hiring pace.
  • A junior “Incubator” intake selected end to end: 100% completed the programme and moved into client-facing roles.

Processes left behind

  • A recruiting pipeline rebuilt for niche technical and scientific roles, cutting time-to-hire without lowering the bar.
  • Scorecards, hiring metrics and reporting that show managers where a process is actually stuck.
  • HR policies, documentation, contracts and payroll coordination across CIS and EU markets.
  • First-time managers coached through interviewing, assessment and hiring decisions.

About

Hi, I’m Kate —
the person behind Daylabs.

I have spent my career on both sides of the hiring table: as an in-house recruiter building teams from nothing, and as the HR partner founders call when the company has outgrown its improvised processes.

Daylabs is small on purpose. You work with me directly — no handoffs, no account managers, no candidates pushed through a funnel to hit a quota. I work closely with founders, engineering leads and C-level, I tell you early when a role is not realistic as written, and I treat every candidate as someone who will talk about your company afterwards. Because they will.

How it works

Simple, in three steps

Talk

A free 30-minute call. You describe the situation, I ask the awkward questions and tell you honestly whether I am the right fit.

Plan

You get a short written proposal: scope, timeline, price. Per hire, monthly or project-based — whichever suits the work.

Work

We start. Weekly updates, metrics you can check, and processes your team can keep running after the project ends.

Get in touch

Let’s talk about your team.

An open role, a hiring plan, or an HR process that is quietly costing you people — write a few lines about where you are and I will come back within one working day.
